Order a prototype – test form and fit before you invest
A 3D-printed prototype shows within days whether an idea works – before you spend money on moulds or large batches.
Why start with a 3D-printed prototype?
A mould can cost tens of thousands of kronor and take weeks to change. A prototype costs a fraction and can be adjusted and reprinted the next day. You can test fit with other parts, ergonomics, assembly and appearance.
Visual or functional prototype
For look and feel, PLA or resin with a fine surface is often enough. If the prototype will be loaded, heated or bent, we choose PETG, ASA, TPU or carbon-fibre-reinforced materials.
From prototype to series
Once the design is right, we can print a small batch straight away – or, when volumes grow, help you move on to injection moulding through a partner.
How to get the most out of your prototype
Decide what the prototype needs to answer before you order: does it fit, does it hold, does it look right or does the mechanism work? Then we can choose material and infill accordingly. A pure form prototype can be printed quickly and cheaply, while a functional prototype needs the right material and orientation.
Several variants at once
It often pays to print two or three variants with different dimensions or radii in the same order. You compare them side by side and save a whole iteration. The set-up fee is paid once per order, so extra variants only cost material and time.
We help you with
- CAD design from a sketch or measurements
- Several versions for comparison
- Tolerances for snap, screw and press fits
- Documentation for series production
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can I get a prototype?
Often within 2–5 working days including inspection, depending on size and material.
Can you keep the prototype confidential?
Yes. Files and drawings are only used for your job. We’re happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
How much does a prototype cost?
Upload the file to the calculator for an instant price. Design work is charged by the hour – you always get a price first.
Tell us about your project
Send a photo, a sketch or a few measurements – you get a fixed price before we start.
We reply in writing in English or Swedish, usually within 1–2 working days.
